Live Lecture in Online Learning
You can carry out live lecture to support your online learning implementation. Here is a list of live lecture tools that we recommend for you to use in UTM.
Using Big Blue Button in e-Learning@UTM
You can use Big Blue Button function in e-Learning@UTM to have a live learning session with up to 100 number of students.
It has the following features:
- Allow screen sharing
- Allow slide presentation upload
- Allow break-out rooms (you can divide your live class students into smaller groups)
- Allow live session to be recorded
- Allow polling activities
- Has an online whiteboard
Webex Meeting
UTM also offers using Webex Meeting to carry out live lecture with your students. You have to first request for an account here: Request for Webex Meeting account UTM
Webex Meeting supports live learning session up to 200 students in a session at https://utm.webex.com.
It has the following features:
- Allow live session to be recorded
- Allow screen sharing
- Allow file sharing
- Allow polling

Zoom Meeting
Alternatively you can also use Zoom Meeting. The software has to be installed in your local computer.
It can support up to 100 students during one live session.
It has the following features:
- Allow live session to be recorded
- Allow screen sharing
- Allow multiple user to share simultaneously

Install & Download Zoom Client for Meeting
Google Meet
UTM also encourage you to use Google Meet to host live lecture with your students for online learning. All UTM staffs and students can use Google Meet as long as we have a Gmail account.
It can support up to 50 students (including you as a teacher) during one live session.
It has the following features:
- Allow screen sharing
- No live session can be recorded
